Sometimes, a person can be deeply committed to inner work — meditation, therapy, spiritual practices — yet still feel stuck, frustrated, or quietly exhausted by the process.
This may be spiritual bypassing.
When growth practices are used to avoid pain rather than meet it, healing pauses. True transformation doesn’t come from escaping suffering — it comes from observing it, allowing it, and including it in our awareness.
I’ve noticed this pattern in some coaching clients as well:
constant self-development, endless courses, nonstop learning — not to grow, but to avoid facing what is real and unresolved. Growth becomes another hiding place.
Real coaching isn’t about “fixing” yourself.
It’s about learning how to stay present with discomfort, face truth with compassion, and move forward with clarity — not avoidance.
